Grace Lee Howerton Stubblefield
Grace
Lee Howerton Stubblefield, age 92, of Morristown, formerly of Mooresburg, went
to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Heritage Center.
She
was a member of Valley View Baptist Church.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Davis Stubblefield; and parents,
Richard and Martha Spence Howerton.
Survivors
include her daughter, Julia Mae (Joe) Dean of Mooresburg; sons, Lloyd (Mary)
Stubblefield of Church Hill, Jerry Ray Stubblefield of Morristown, Richard
(Rosemary) Stubblefield of Mooresburg; foster son, Wayne Nicholson of
Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two
great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Valley View Baptist Church on Friday, July 18,
2008, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Biggs and the Rev. Terry Winstead
officiating. Mrs. Stubblefield will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the
service. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. The family will receive
friends on Thursday, July 17, from 68 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Gus Tasios, Allen Hilton Mike Bennett, Adrian Wills, Jerry
Stubblefield Jr, Taylor Stubblefield, Tyler Wills, and Alex Hilton.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at the
Heritage Center and her roommate, Debbie Wilson.
Arrangements are by Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown.
